Health and Wellness Part Two
Welcome back! Each January prompts many people to make resolutions and goals for the upcoming year. In honor of New Year’s resolutions and intentions, I am doing a series on the blog entitled, “Health and Wellness 2016.” We are on week two of a four part series. Each Monday I will be focusing on a different area of our lives and asking a few thought provoking questions to think about. My intention for all of us (myself included) is to see if one of the questions applies to our lives and needs to be looked at a bit more closely. Hopefully, we all can use these questions to start a new habit or tweak a habit that is already in place.

This week we will be focusing on our mental lives.
My mental life- Am I
• Perusing magazines, reading books, and watching shows that draw me closer to the Lord? (Luke 11:34-35)- Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
• Pondering on whatever is true, honorable, pure, lovely, and of excellence? (Philippians 4:8) Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
• Meditating and memorizing God’s Word? (Psalm 119:11) I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
• Possessing an attitude of gratitude? (1 Thessalonians 5:18) Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Lord, thank you that you care about every area of our lives. Amen.
