A Thankful Heart Seven Bible Verses to Help Us Give Thanks

Colossians 3 15

We are instructed in the Bible to be thankful. If we are honest, this can be sometimes difficult to do when we look at our circumstances. However, if we focus on God’s character and His promises, we can develop a grateful heart. There are over 8000 promises in the Bible. When I learned of this many years ago, I thought about seeking out 31 promises. With my Bible in hand, I found 31 promises I wanted to learn, typed them out, glued them to construction paper in the size of 3 x 5 cards, and laminated each one. For many years, we began our day with a short prayer and promise from God.
Here are 7 promises from that group of 31 that I wrote out. If you would like the complete list, I would happy to send it to you via email. Go to the CONTACT/FREE RESOURCES to let me know you would like the list. As we focus on God’s character and His unfailing promises, may we be thankful.
