Verses of Peace for International Day of Peace
“The International Day of Peace, sometimes unofficially known as World Peace Day, is observed annually on 21 September. It is dedicated to world peace, and specifically the absence of war and violence, such as might be occasioned by a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone for humanitarian aid access” (Wikipedia).
In honor of International Day of Peace, I have listed numerous verses of peace for us to read and meditate on.
Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and he came down from offering the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings.
Leviticus 9:22
The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24-26
Agree with God, and be at peace;
thereby good will come to you.
Job 22:21
I will lie down and sleep in peace,
for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
